Where are good fishins (Snook) in S.E. Florida. I luv to fish, but dont own a boat. Any inshore tips?

Moved from NY to Ft Lauderdale and luv to fish but dont know the good inshore spots. Have tried under 17th street bridge. Also what are the best times to fish, especially for snook, but all saltwater/brackish tips will be appreciated.
