What do I do in this case, I 'am confused.?

I've been in a relationship for a little over 9 years and my boyfriend had decided he wanted to propose lat year since he was filling insecure once he found out I had male friends, just friends. He is sweet, but has a very bad temper and when upset with me for stupid reasons such as not answering the phone or having plans with my family, he gets really upset and sometimes gives me the silence treatment for a week +. I think I should let this one go, what do I do, I'm confused. I love him, but he makes me really disappointed.
