How does the hummer card float?

The hummer card trick that a lot of magicians do is mainly a simple trick. If ya think about it. What they do is take a peice of invisible string and tape it to their outter ear. Then to the top of the card. The card is maneuvered with the inner part between their thumb and pointer finger. Quite simple.
